Superior Heating Capabilities
As the test results below illustrate, the heating capabilities of the SoftHeat ceramic heating elements are superior to carbon elements. While infrared heat is not directly related to the ambient air temperature of the sauna, efficiency in heating is an important consideration when choosing a sauna.
The softheat ceramic heater reaches an ambient temperature of around 48ºC after 45 minutes and 62ºC after 90 minutes. After three separate tests the carbon heaters did not even reach 45ºC after 90 minutes. These results prove that carbon heaters take too long to heat up and don’t get hot enough. In addition, carbon heaters are made with epoxy which may be adding foreign chemicals into the air of the cabin.
